Experience

  • Aggressive Tooling Inc. – Greenville, Michigan
    • Controls Engineer : 2020 – Present
      • Implemented Siemens STEP 7 to write PLC programs.
      • Performed commissioning and electrical troubleshooting for machines.
      • Designed and reviewed AutoCAD Electrical print-sets for numerous projects.
      • Worked with customers to ensure machines were working as intended.
    • Electrical and Controls Engineering Intern : 2017 – 2020
      • Wrote programming for machines using RsLogix 5000.
      • Performed commissioning and troubleshooting for many different machines.
      • Designed electrical systems for various different machines using AutoCAD Electrical.
      • Designed and wired electrical panels for machines based on electrical prints.
      • Created various templates in both Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD Electrical to increase efficiency, the templates are now implemented by the department to reduce the overall time needed to order parts and organize them for each job.
  • Michigan State University – Fall 2017 – Spring 2018
    • Worked as a Professorial Assistant for an Electrical Engineering Professor.
      • Researched applications of various Microelectromechanical systems.
      • Researched electronic tattoos that could be used by the medical field to monitor a patients health status, notifying a doctor if the patients condition worsened.
      • Helped design a system that allowed users to control a small robot with their mind. The system used a headset outfitted with various sensors that were spread out around the users head and was also equipped with a Bluetooth chip that communicated with another chip on the robot. The sensors read signals from the users brain which were then transmitted to the robot, which then resulted in the robot moving.
  • Fishbeck, Thompson, Carr, and Huber – Spring 2017 – Fall 2017
    • Electrical Engineering Intern
      • Designed electrical layouts for buildings (such as Meijer).
      • Made lighting calculations using various different programs and referencing the National Electrical Code.
      • Researched new electrical products (ex. lighting types, electrical outlets) and then utilized them in designs if they met customer specifications.
      • Calculated cable and conduit sizes for different jobs.
      • Created construction documents for customers.
      • Met with clients to discuss project scope and design.
      • Reviewed and responded to questions from contractors.
      • Contacted city officials when needed to confirm the availability of utilities at future build sites.
  • Michigan State University – Fall 2016 – Spring 2017
    • Worked as a Professorial Assistant for a Physics Professor at the National Superconducting Cyclotron Laboratory.
      • Helped conduct experiments with radioactive isotopes.
      • Helped collect and sort through data obtained from experiments, creating various graphs and charts to clarify the data.
      • Repaired, tested and then made documentation for Low Energy Neutron Detection Bars.
      • Assisted with laboratory wide particle accelerator experiments.
